About the Tennessee State Flag

Adopted in 1905, the Tennessee flag was designed by LeRoy Reeves, a member of the Tennessee National Guard. Tennessee became the 16th state on June 1, 1796, the first state admitted after the original thirteen plus Vermont and Kentucky.
