Georgia State Flag | Eder Endura-Nylon Outdoor Flag

Georgia State Flag | Eder Endura-Nylon Outdoor Flag

Georgia's state flag, adopted in 2003, features three red and white stripes with the state coat of arms set inside a circle of thirteen white stars on a blue canton. The coat of arms displays three pillars supporting an arch inscribed with "Constitution," a soldier with a drawn sword defending it, and the state motto "Wisdom, Justice, Moderation" on a ribbon below. It is one of the most recently redesigned state flags in the country, replacing a controversial prior version, and carries deep references to both Georgia's founding principles and the original thirteen colonies.

This Eder Endura-Nylon Georgia flag is built for the Peach State's punishing outdoor conditions. Georgia's climate ranges from the humid subtropical heat of the coastal plain and Piedmont, where summer temperatures regularly exceed 95 degrees with intense UV, to the cooler but wind-exposed ridges of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the north. Coastal areas near Savannah and the Golden Isles add salt air and hurricane-season storms to the mix. The 200-denier Endura-Nylon with SolarGuard UV finish resists fading even under Georgia's relentless summer sun, dries quickly after afternoon thunderstorms, and flies responsively in light breezes. Reinforced fly-end stitching and a canvas heading with brass grommets keep the flag secure through storm season.

About the Georgia State Flag

Georgia has changed its flag more times than any other state. The current design was adopted by the Georgia General Assembly in 2003 and approved by voters in a March 2004 referendum. It draws heavily from the first national flag of the Confederacy (the "Stars and Bars"), though its primary symbolism references the original thirteen American colonies through the ring of stars and the state's commitment to constitutional governance through the coat of arms. Georgia was the fourth state to ratify the U.S. Constitution in 1788, and the pillars on the coat of arms represent the three branches of government. The motto "Wisdom, Justice, Moderation" has appeared on Georgia's seal since 1799.
