Texas State Flag | Eder Endura-Nylon Outdoor Flag
The Texas Lone Star flag is one of the most iconic flags in the world: a single white five-pointed star on a vertical blue stripe at the hoist, with horizontal white and red stripes filling the fly. The design is bold, simple, and unmistakable at any distance. Unlike most state flags, which place seals or coats of arms on colored fields, the Texas flag follows the principles of strong vexillographic design, using just three colors and one symbol. It is the only state flag that previously served as a national flag, flying over the Republic of Texas from 1839 to 1845.
This Eder Endura-Nylon Texas flag is a fully sewn construction with an appliqued star and sewn stripes for a traditional, high-quality appearance that stands apart from printed flags. Texas weather demands that level of craftsmanship. The Gulf Coast brings hurricane-force winds, salt air, and tropical humidity. West Texas delivers relentless UV at high altitude with dust storms and dry heat exceeding 110 degrees. The Panhandle sees Arctic cold fronts, ice, and sustained prairie winds. The 200-denier Endura-Nylon with SolarGuard UV finish handles all of it: UV-resistant color retention, quick drying after Gulf storms, and cold-weather flexibility for Panhandle winters. Reinforced fly-end stitching and canvas heading with brass grommets complete the build.
About the Texas State Flag
The Lone Star flag was adopted on January 25, 1839, during the Republic of Texas era, designed to represent the independent nation's sovereignty. When Texas joined the United States in 1845, the flag continued as the state flag. The lone star represents unity and independence, and the blue, white, and red stripes symbolize loyalty, purity, and bravery. Texas is one of only two states (along with Hawaii) whose flag flew as a national flag before statehood. The flag code of Texas specifies that the state flag should be displayed at the same height as the U.S. flag (not below it), reflecting the unique terms under which Texas entered the Union. Texans display their flag more pervasively than residents of perhaps any other state.
